Pogo’s Kitchen has a very unusual history as a comic strip in the 40s and 50s in the south about friends coming together to share a meal.
The Dining Room

The dining area has an easy clean look creating a refined experience for causal dining. Professional Black and white photos on the wall are form the Okefenokee Swamp staying within the Pogo’s theme.
Pastrami Sandwich

Expecting something more like a Ruben sandwich this turned out to be very delightful. The pastrami is cut paper thin and very easy to chew and the cole slaw was fresh and not so spicy. Sandwiches on the lunch menu come with a choice of chips, pasta salad or potato salad.
The Wine Display

The wine displayed in the side dining area creates an elegant look and feel.
Cream of Onion Soup

I only had a spoon full but it was delicious lots of different flavors and a light texture.
For those who have enjoyed the causal look and feel of Gourmet Gourmet from years ago will be delightfully surprised at the look and feel of this new restaurant and menu.
