Spyware
August 25, 2007
This is a crazy time we are in. They say there’s more spyware & adware software now than viruses. The latest information shows 7 out of 10 computers connected to the internet are infected with spyware.
Too many pop-up windows?
Too many spam emails?
Losing control of your computer?
Wasted time fixing or losing file?
Spyware & Adware programs can track web sites you visit, pass any private information, and copy key strokes. Most are not malicious, just passing information about your buying & viewing habits for the next email blasts, or pop-up ads, but recently some are looking for bank codes and credit cards and there is one that will change your isp to a long distant 900 number, and you won’t know until your next phone bill.
The adware and spyware market
had $2.4 billion in profits 2005.
Do you think they are just going to pack their bags and go away?
Spy Sweeper rated best spyware remover
There are 2 versions, one for a home based business
(individual computers) and a small business - corporate version (that works on a network).
Spy Sweeper reviews
SpySweeper has been rated for 3 years in a row PC Magazine as the best adware spyware protection for your computer. Recently it has been rated Best for 2004 and Editors Choice this year.
“… easily the best choice for protecting PCs from spyware
and cleaning infected computers.”
Spy Sweeper 5.
The new start page is easy to get around and find controls. As you can see I have only had 3 intruders in the last 7 months, so I know the shields work.
WindowWasher
Windowwasher-
Keep your browser clean so there is no information togather, like web site addresses, forms or id & passwords you’ve entered. Important items to keep clean are your: mail trash, cookies, cashe and pictures viewed on line because you don’t know what’s there.
Protect yourself from credit card and identity theft. Windowwasher has proven to do a great job. My firewall does not goes off as often as it use to. This program found 2 programs after my system was erased by another shareware software program.
Adware Spyware reviews & information
Microsoft spyware
07-07-2005 For the last several weeks Microsoft has been talking to Claria, a well known adware spyware developer. A purchase like this would give Microsoft information on the surfing and buying habits of about 40 million internet users and a fast jump start on their marketing program.
Now its also been stated that Microsoft’s anti spyware program lets Claria spyware past their filter.
Spysweeper and WindowWasher create the best protection against
spyware and adware software.

tiag
August 21, 2007
I was doing the tiag web site for free and
currently the site is handled by a board member.
| Company | The Travel Industry Association of Georgia (tiag) |
| URL | tiag.org |
| Responsibilities | Redesign the web site and looking for different ways to have suppliers and visitors & convention bureaus connect with travel agents on the web. |
| Current | The site is know being handled by someone else. |
| Date | October 2002 - July 2007 |
Redesign
03-11-2005 Redesigning the site to include:
A calendar for events, seminars and fams. Mirrored the Fams & Certifications page to the site.
The Past-Events section is for the suppliers who sponsor the events and the event itself.
The front page is very proactive. The first thing you see entering the site are listings and descriptions of upcoming tiag events.
The purpose of the site is to bring suppliers and travel agents and travel suppliers together.
At this time the travel industry is seeing a lot of changes technology wise, as well as competition from web booking engines. It is important for agents to not only stay up with this technology, but be able to surpass it with extra services, a personal interest and show their clients their competence in: technology, and travel expertise.
Part of the evolution of travel agents will be connected to how well agents can utilize the web to interact and provide information to their clients online.
My goal is to have tiag’s web site help travel agents & travel suppliers learn the possibilities of what they can do online to improve their business.
Created web site
10-28-2002 Registered and created tiag.org . After a year and a half the site was turned over to a board member who thought they wanted to be a web designer.
Travel Association Profile:
The Travel Industry Association of Georgia provides a forum for furthering the growth and professionalism of the travel industry with a commitment to excellence and high ethical standards.

Who is the site for?
This site is primarily for travel agents that sell Caribbean destinations

looking for information on traveling to The Caribbean (this needs to be
talked about).
At this time the travel industry is seeing a lot of changes in technology, as well as competition from the web. It is important for travel agents to not only stay up with this technology, but be able to surpass it with extra services, a personal interest and show their clients their competence in: technology, and travel expertise.
Part of the evolution of the travel agent will be connected to how well the agent can utilize the web to interact and provide information to their clients online.
My goal is to have otc’s web site help travel agents learn the possibilities of what they can do online to improve their business.
